David M. Perozek
Chairman and President

Mr. Perozek is a founder of Therus Corporation. Prior to Therus he was President, Chief Operating Officer and a Director of ATL Ultrasound, Bothell, WA, from 1992 to 1995. Before joining ATL Ultrasound, Mr. Perozek spent 17 years with the Medical Products Group of the Hewlett-Packard Company where he was (1975-80) R/D Manager for HP's diagnostic product areas, which included diagnostic ultrasound systems. As General Manager (1980-1989) of the Andover Division and Imaging Systems Division, he led the development of HP's highly successful ultrasound business, achieving clear, worldwide leadership in cardiology ultrasound. From 1989 to 1991, he served as General Manager of the then newly acquired Apollo Computer, Inc., managing Hewlett-Packard's Apollo Systems Division. Mr. Perozek received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Detroit, and both his Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and Electrical Engineer degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1967. In 1982 he completed the Stanford Executive Program at Stanford University.

Thomas L. Anderson, Ph.D.
Vice President, Clinical Programs

Dr. Anderson is a founder of Therus Corporation and has 28 years of experience in high-technology medical device development and commercialization. From 1990 to 1997, he served in various senior management roles in marketing, regulatory affairs, government relations, and strategic business development for NeoPath, Inc. In 1984 Dr. Anderson was a founder of UltraThermics, Inc., which developed ultrasound-based hyperthermia systems for applications in dermatology and oncology, where he served for six years as Vice President of Research and Marketing and as a Director. Concurrently, he was a special consultant on ultrasound hyperthermia to the National Institutes of Health. Before founding UltraThermics, he was a Principal Scientist for ultrasound therapy systems research at ATL Ultrasound from 1982 to 1984. Prior to ATL, Dr. Anderson spent five years with Hewlett-Packard Laboratories researching and developing experimental ultrasound systems for treating deep-seated tumors in partnership with researchers at Stanford University School of Medicine, Department of Radiation Oncology. In addition, from 1995 to 1996, he served as Executive in Residence at the Lumpkin School of Business, Eastern Illinois University. Dr. Anderson received his B.S. degree in Mathematics from Northern Illinois University, and his Ph.D. degree in Solid State Science from the Pennsylvania State University.

Alex de Soto SPHR
Vice President, Finance & Administration

Mr. de Soto has 20 years of experience in the fields of finance, accounting and human resources and brings a unique combination of financial and human resource skills to Therus. He has had key roles in raising capital, developing complex financial projections, and recruiting high caliber talent for numerous companies. Prior to Therus, Mr. de Soto provided consulting services in the fields of recruiting, compensation, and organizational management to Puget Sound based companies with an emphasis on serving high technology companies. Significant previous employers were Premera BlueCross where he was a Compensation Manager and Coopers & Lybrand (currently known as PriceWaterhouseCooopers), where he held the position of Audit Manager in London and Seattle. Mr. de Soto is a graduate of the University of Southern California (BS Business Administraton) and currently holds a Senior Professional in Human Resources designation.
